A single gene answers question of sex

Finally, something for the geneticists.

Something about a gene that determinse all aspects of a fly's sexual orientation and behavior and something about bah, I don't know... about instinct being preprogrammed and the way we respond to certain things, eg. hitting back when threatened, or laughing, is all "a product of genetic heritage", that "a single gene can serve as a switch for complex behaviors".
