Wildlife Photographer of the Year

The results of the competition was announced over the weekend, and the exhibition is on again at the NHM. When do we have a free arvo... shall we meet and go marvel at the winners' work?

Plants

I love plants and microbes. I wish I could do Molecular Plant Microbe Intereactions with Xi and Xiao and be attention seeking.

I don't like birds.

Bio Nomenclature

It's currently Bio 102.9 since we're in the summer hols...Or Bio 102.5 since we're part way between Bio 102 and Bio 103.

We should've just called it Initiation (1st yr.), Propagation (2nd yr.) and Termination (3rd yr) just like the three stages in Free Radical Substitution - that jolly reaction mechanism in Organic Chemistry. Oh how I miss those Chemistry days.

Future First Year Imperial Biologists who never did Chemistry A-level are going to have so much fun doing the questions I've thought up for them. Ha ha ha!
